This site explains pet snake care in plain language. Every number comes from a vet practice, a zoo, the RSPCA or the FDA, and is linked where it appears.

Who's behind it

TODO for Don: a short bio in your own words. Which snakes you keep, how long you've kept them, and what got you started. Nothing goes here until you write it.

How the guides are written

Temperatures, humidity, enclosure sizes, feeding schedules and lifespans come only from published sources: veterinary hospitals, zoos, the RSPCA and the U.S. FDA. Each one is linked next to the number it supports.
When sources disagree, we show both rather than pick one silently.
If we can't find a reliable source for a number, we leave it out.

Not veterinary advice

These guides are for general education. They don't replace an exam by a vet who treats reptiles. Find a reptile vet through ARAV.
